Redecorating doesn't have to be a huge project. Here are five simple things you can do to spruce up any room in your house.
1- Rearrange Your Furniture - Moving your furniture around can change the rooms entire look! This costs nothing and is easy to do! Pull your furniture away from the walls. Try positioning it at intriguing angles. For example, a sofa arranged diagonally across a narrow living room will make the room look wider.
2- Replace Lamps - Lamps are probably the one thing in your home that will give others a clue that your room is outdated. Seek out new and fresh lamps that make a statement. New lamps can truly add new character to any room!
3- Eliminate Clutter - Does you room look small or clustered , due to way to many things? Mnay people tend to keep thinsg sitting around that they do not need or use. If you room is starting to look like a storage unit, get some of the not used items out! Clutter has a way of eliminating the desired mood and effect of any room. Find storage spaces for toys, extra furniture, and other items that take from the personality of a room.
4- Add A Throw Or Afghan - Throws and afghans add texture to your furniture and add new colors to accent your current colors. They come in all kinds of natural and man made fabrics. Find a pattern and style that fits your families personality!
5-Paint A Wall - Paint one wall your favorite color and make it the focal point. Hang interesting art or pictures on that wall and move a nice piece of furniture there.
