This morning my daughter asked me what she should give Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas this year. I usually help them pick out a gift for Daddy, but didn’t think they would want to give something to their grandparents too. After some thought, I figured that the best thing to do would be to have them make some simple little homemade gifts. I’m sure their grandparents would treasure those more than something we pick up at the store. Since we have just a little over a week until Christmas day, it will have to be something fast and easy as well. Here are some of my ideas. When the kids come back from school I’ll let them choose.

  1. Paint A T-shirt - This one would be great for grandpa who works out in a the yard a lot and I am sure would love to show off his grandkids art on a t-shirt.
  2. Simple Ornaments - I’m thinking of picking up a craft kit, so the kids have everything they need to make them.
  3. Picture frames - some plain picture frames that they can decorate with various small objects, beads, stickers, foam stickers etc.
  4. Christmas Cards - I’ll have them make some homemade holiday cards regardless of what other item they pick to make for their grandparents.
  5. Frame Their Artwork - Have them pick their favorite pictures and pieces of art they’ve made throughout the year and frame it.
